Watching a news report on marijuana…

Watching a news report on marijuana and the reporter drops that infamous line about the California medical scene:

“Many people say the [MMJ system] is out of control. A simple headache or insomnia can get a doctor’s recommendation for medical marijuana.”

Really now motherfuckers? You’re going to discount insomnia as a serious medical condition? More than 30% of the American population suffers from insomnia, with over 10 million medicating on sleeping pills. So it’s fucking cool if I score some Ambien from the doctor when I complain about insomnia, but the second it’s medical marijuana, I’m a fucking scumbag stoner working the system.

Not like insomnia isn’t such a serious problem that is causes other more serious problems, like people falling asleep while driving.

I’m tired of people putting down pot because people aren’t “sick” enough. What kind of fucking debate is that? When was the last time you were denied cold medicine because you weren’t sick enough? ~~And I can get that shit over the counter and make meth out it.~~
