   Where do I buy one in my town?

   Smoke or tattoo shops usually have tobacco smoking tools(bongs, pipes, steamrollers, bubblers, etc). Cigarette stores and some corner stores have cheap glass and metallic bowls(~$5). Or if you know of any hookah smoking lounges, they usually stock stuff beyond hookahs.

   Google is your friend (: It should pick up where you live and map out smoke shops in your area.

   Where do I buy one online?

   EveryoneDoesIt for purchases in the UK. They’ve got some quality products and great brands, like ROOR. They also sell cannabis seeds.

   AquaLab is dope, and their prices are fair. Most of the artists/brands they stock are in high demand(for good reason). You can find some of their products in local head shops, where you can haggle them down. ROORs/illadelphs drop from around $500+ to $100. But that’s if you can find them.

   TheDabLab is neat. They offer lesser known artists to get their glass online. It’s run by the A+ TV dudes I believe, they review the glass on Youtube.

   HighPriorityGlass has a nice range of affordable glass and crazy custom pieces. It’s the Nuggetry-affiliated shop.

   GlassQ is cool community too. You can request for custom glass blowing, and even see the artist create it via video streaming. It seems the easiest for any glass blower to get his product out to the people.

   What bong should I buy as my first?

   I highly recommend an “acrylic bong”. The plastic bongs are the cheapest, last longer than the cheap glass ones, and hit almost as good as $100+ straight neck bongs. I’ve had one for 2 years now and I prefer it for it’s portability and durability.

   I got mine for ~$25 bucks and it gets me higher than anything rolled. It also supports glass bowls, so you’re able to replace the metallic ‘default’ bowl. And the glass bowls are usually bigger.

   Glass is always the best choice over acrylic if you can afford it. You get what you pay for with glass. The higher end of the pricing range($1000+) start dipping into the “art” category, where the exorbitant prices are justified because the glass is considered an art piece as well – rather than simply a functional smoking device. Glass blowers are artists at the end of the day, and they make their living like any other artist, selling their artwork – or in this case – glass bongs, pipes, etc.

   While I was getting my new piece filthy, the old bowl sat in a ziplock full of alcohol and salt. After a couple days, and a little shaking, it looked nearly new — after shitting a few resin turds. Hit equally as smooth, packed with some purps.

3. Pennsylvania Couple Facing Paraphernalia Charges:

   Two people are facing serious drug charges after they have been accused of openly selling marijuana pipes and bongs at a southwestern Pennsylvania county fair. A drug task force detective accuses thirty-three-year-old Stephen Krug and 24-year-old Maria Zelik, both from Freedom, PA, of selling the drug paraphernalia out in the open.

   County task force Detective Ryan Reese says that the two rented a booth at the Fayette County Fair where they displayed a water bong, dozens of glass and wooden pipes, a digital scale and what court papers refer to as other drug-related products. There was a sign displayed prominently in the booth space that said all the products sold were for tobacco use only.

   Detective Reese encountered the couple at the venue and asked them directly, “When did you ever see anybody smoke tobacco out of a water bong?” He went on to question the couple about why a tobacco user would use a digital scale.

4. Man denied flight for a 1967 pipe resin prosecution:

    Even the judge rolled his eyes, gave Adrian Dorst a suspended sentence when the then 24-year-old got busted for having marijuana resin in a decorative pipe way back in 1967.

   But American authorities were dead serious when they discovered the Tofino, B.C. man’s 45-year-old conviction last week.

   They refused to let him fly through the U.S., costing the well-known nature photographer a $1,250 airline ticket and a “dream trip” to the cloud forest village of Mindo, Ecuador, where he had planned to spend two months hiking and birdwatching.

   It’s a cautionary tale for travellers: Even for those who have crossed the border with impunity for years, the past is never really buried.

   Dorst’s troubles began last week when he showed up at Vancouver International Airport for a flight to Quito that involved a 2 1/2-hour layover in Houston.

   Just before boarding, the U.S. border agent in Vancouver checked his passport and asked a few questions as usual, but then, instead of allowing Dorst through, sent him to another room for further screening.

   After a couple of hours, the U.S. agent revealed she knew of that suspended sentence from 1967. The conviction came after the police, who raided a communal apartment in St. Catharines, Ont., seized a pipe that was hanging on a wall — not exactly the French Connection on the drug-crime index.
